Terms of Service

These terms cover use of this website and the general shape of how projects work. Every client project also gets its own written agreement with specifics - scope, price, and timeline - which takes precedence over anything here.

Projects and pricing

Project prices are fixed and agreed in writing before work begins. The price covers the scope described in the agreement; genuinely new requests are quoted separately before any work on them starts - no surprise invoices.

A typical project requires a deposit (usually 50%) to begin, with the balance due at launch. A site doesn't go live until it's paid for, and you're not billed for work you haven't approved.

Ownership

Once a project is paid in full, you own the deliverables: the code, design, and content created for your site. Domains and third-party accounts (hosting, analytics, forms) are registered in your name from the start, so you're never locked in.

Timelines

Timelines are commitments, not estimates - but they depend on receiving content and feedback from you on schedule. Delays on the client side extend the timeline by the same amount; they never increase the price.

Warranties and liability

Every build includes a post-launch fix window (30-90 days by tier) covering defects in the delivered work. Beyond that, this website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Gorb Studio's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the relevant project.

Content on this site (copy, design, code) belongs to Gorb Studio. Don't scrape it, clone it, or pass it off as your own - you know how this works.
